The Church no longer gives recommended amounts for how much long-term food to store. This suggested outline is simple way of dividing up your cannery orders so that the cost is spread out over each month.
Remember – the long-term storage food items are your 4th priorty. A 3-month supply of every-day foods is your 1st priority. See the Helpful Hints page for more information.

SAVE FUEL, TIME & MONEY ….Make one shopping trip each week to save on your fuel expense. To do this, plan your menu for the week and shop with a list.

Set aside a particular amount of your budget for home storage and purchase a few extra items from the grocery store each week. Also, purchase 1-6 cans of basic food items like grains or beans from the Church home storage center each month.
