Sharla R. Jordan was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, 9th in a family of 10 children. She graduated Mountain View High School and Mesa Community College, with 2 associate degrees. She is currently enrolled at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a major in Psychology and a minor in Music.

Sharla resides in Kaysville, Utah with her husband and their 6 sons, 4 of whom are on the autism spectrum. Sharla loves her family, music, learning, and sharing her knowledge and experiences with others. She is passionate about helping her boys and others who work with those challenged by autism. This has motivated her to write this concise and easy to read book.
